When it rains Fenty Beauty goodness, it pours (we all see the “Umbrella” pun opportunity, but it won’t be excellent, so moving right along). Just 15 days after Rihanna unleashed her two-years-in-the-making Fenty Beauty core collection, she’s back with more beauty news. In case there was any doubt that Fenty Beauty was going to be a full-fledged beauty brand, Rihanna has a holiday collection locked, loaded, and ready to sell. And in classic, iconic fashion, Rihanna just teased our first look at the products by demonstrating exactly how gorgeous they look on her.
The go’s not without precedent: One of the things that sets Fenty apart from other celebrity-backed lines is just how involved Rihanna is in all aspects. At the launch party, Rihanna even told us it reached the point where she was calling her team in the middle of the night to tweak products. She’s dedicated. So given that Rihanna’s mentioned that the brand forgoes animal testing in favor of her testing the formulas herself, yeah, we probably shouldn’t be surprised that our first look is coming via Rihanna’s own eyes and lips.
Behold: Galactic-themed shades on her eyes apparently called Nepturnt (LOL), Sublime, and Xtraterrestrial.
Also unsurprising? That the holiday drop is exactly what you would want from Fenty gone festive. Instead of following most other beauty brands and going for the expected jewel tones and dark, heavy “winter” colors, the holiday collection makes the most of colorful, gold-laced tones.
Delightfully, the drop is also bringing us entirely new products from Fenty. Where the core collection’s focus was on highlighters and foundations—40 inclusive, quick-to-sell-out shades, in case you’ve somehow missed the news—the single lip gloss had some fans wanting more. As of October 13, when the holiday collection goes on sale, those bases will be covered. From the photo that the brand posted, we’ll be seeing bullet lipsticks, lip glosses, metallic liquid liners, and an eyeshadow palette of shimmery brights.
And where the original collection was encased in millennial pink, the holiday products are in oil-slick-esque packaging with an iridescent sheen. There’s no word on pricing yet, or if the new additions will stick around in permanent form—but given Rihanna’s transparency with the line so far, it’s safe to assume she won’t keep us in the dark for long.
